Assistant Director, Transportation

The Assistant Director, Transportation, under general direction, is responsible for the overall administration and management of assigned unit(s) in the department.


Assistant Manager, Parking Systems

The Assistant Manager, Parking Systems, under general direction, is responsible for the management of parking systems including parking access and revenue control, license plate recognition (LPR), parking guidance systems, video surveillance and intercom systems


Assistant Manager, Transportation

The Assistant Manager, Transportation is responsible for assisting in the management and coordination of the Parking Services Unit.


Associate Director, Transportation

The Automotive Parts Specialist I, under general supervision, assists in managing an automotive parts department. Receives, handles, records, stores, and issues a variety of automotive parts.

The Automotive Parts Specialist II, under general supervision, is responsible for operating an automotive parts department by ordering, receiving, recording, and storing a variety of automotive and heavy equipment parts. Trains staff on inventory procedures. Responsible for supervising Parts student workers. Assists in credit card processing and oversees the operation in the absence of the supervisor.

Automotive Technician I

The Automotive Technician I is responsible for maintaining and repairing gasoline-engine vehicles and equipment.


Automotive Technician II

The Automotive Technician II is responsible for performing highly skilled maintenance and repairing operations on gasoline-engine vehicles and equipment; may direct the work of other technicians, mechanics, and helpers.


Automotive Technician III

The Automotive Technician III performs highly skilled maintenance and repairing operations on vehicles and equipment to include complex electrical repairs and trouble shooting and programming various multiplex systems. Directs the work of other technicians, mechanics, and helpers.


Diesel Technician I

The Diesel Technician I is responsible for performing skilled maintenance and repair operations on diesel-engine vehicles and equipment.


Diesel Technician II

The Diesel Technician II is responsible for performing highly skilled maintenance and repair operations on diesel-engine vehicles and equipment; may supervise other technicians, mechanics, and helpers.


Diesel Technician III

The Diesel Technician III is responsible for performing highly skilled maintenance and repairing operations on diesel-engine vehicles and equipment to include complex electrical repairs and trouble shooting and programming various multiplex systems. The Diesel Technician III will direct the work of other technicians, mechanics, and helpers.


Director, Transportation

The Transit Supervisor, under direction, assists with the daily operations of the campus transit system. Monitors routes, coordinates drivers and buses, assist customers, and responds to accidents.

The Transit Bus Driver is responsible for driving the Texas A&M University transit routes as scheduled and providing customer service by assisting passengers with questions on policies, routes, etc.


Transit Driver Instructor

The Transit Driver Instructor is responsible for instructing new drivers during in-service trainee driving while operating during normal route service by providing instruction, feedback, written evaluation, etc. Also responsible for driving Texas A&M University transit routes as scheduled.


Transit Trainer

The Transit Trainer is responsible for training budgeted and student transit drivers during the out-of-service and in-service phases of training, being knowledgeable of the daily operation of the campus transit system, and assisting with coordinating drivers, trainees, and buses as well as assisting customers regarding the transit system.


Transportation Maintenance Leader I

The Transportation Maintenance Leader I, under general supervision, is responsible for the coordination and deployment of signs, barricades and other devices used for traffic and pedestrian notification and control. Provide leadership to assigned personnel on a daily basis.

Transportation Maintenance Supervisor

The Transportation Maintenance Supervisor, under general supervision, responsible for the coordination and deployment of signs, barricades and other devices used for traffic and pedestrian notification and control; the painting of parking structures striping and various maintenance to parking-related structures. Supervises staff responsible for these tasks. Completes physical inventory of departmental equipment.


Transportation Maintenance Technician

The Transportation Maintenance Technician is responsible for the production and deployment of signs, barricades and other devices used for traffic and pedestrian notification and control, as well as performing basic parking structure repairs. Assists in the support of special events.
