What is SkillBridge?
The U.S. Department of Defense SkillBridge program is an opportunity for service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. SkillBridge connects transitioning service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences
Texas A&M University SkillBridge Program
The University SkillBridge Program is designed to enhance the skills, training, knowledge, and experience of transitioning service members, assisting them in their goals of securing employment post their military service.
- This 12-week internship program is led by industry experts teaching, coaching, and training participants in the practical application of skills learned during the program.
- Interns are exposed to employee training and career development as they work under close supervision of university staff.
- Service members benefit from wellness classes, guest speakers, and guided curriculum curated for transitioning service members.
