What is work study?

Work study is a form of financial aid that provides funding for on-campus and certain off-campus jobs. It allows students to earn money to help pay education expenses and reduce loan debt. It is estimated that by the time the average undergraduate student graduates, he/she is almost $27,000 in debt! A paycheck can go a long way towards minimizing these costs.

Why should I take advantage of work study?

Work study can make you more hirable! Under the work study program, employers pay only a small percentage of your wages, with the remainder being paid from work study funds. This allows employers to hire more students and offer higher wages than they might otherwise.

How do I find a job?

VisitJobs for Aggiesand search for jobs that are work study eligible. These employers are specifically looking for applicants like you.

What if I already have a job on-campus?

It is the responsibility of the student to notify his/her employer of the work study award. Once you have been hired, give your Work Study certificate to your employer. Printable work study certificates are available online through My Financial Aid. Log in with your Net ID and password. Who is eligible to receive Work Study?

Graduate and undergraduate students with financial need as determined by the FAFSA and TASFA financial aid applications are eligible for work study funds. Student must be enrolled at least half-time.
