Retirees Club
The Texas A&M University System Retirees Club is open to membership to all former faculty and staff members of the Texas A&M System. Meetings are held to maintain a connection with university colleagues and to stay informed on changes and developments within the campus community. There are no membership dues.
History
Formed in 1965 with the encouragement of then President Earl Rudder, the TAMU Retiree Club (Club) formed a connection with the Personnel Department (Human Resources). By 1973, the Club defined its mission to serve all retired members of the A&M System. Today the Club is a thriving organization that is growing each year. Human Resources has staff dedicated to assist the Club and its membership.
Events
Meeting:Retiree Luncheon, Monday, November 16, 2009 (casual attire)
Time: 11:30 a.m. (Fellowship/Registration); 12:00 (Luncheon); 12:20 p.m. (Program begins)
Place: Koldus Building, First Floor, Rm. 110-111 (Part of Parking Garage)
Cost: $14.00/person (incl. tax and tip) - make checks payable to Texas A&M Retiree Club. Pay when you arrive at luncheon. Do not mail checks in advance.
Program:The Texas A&M University Singing Cadets under the direction of David Kipp, Director of Choral Activities, TAMU, will present a colection of vocal music selections.
Cancellation: If you must cancel, call BY 8:00 am on Wednesday before the luncheon or payment will still be requried. To cancel reservation, call Treasurer Teresa VinZant at 696-5279 or you will be billed for late cancellation.
Name Tags: Name tags will be available on arrival; please return your name tag after the luncheon.
Special Seating: Eight (8) seats will be reserved near the meeting
room entrance to accommodate those with limited mobility.
