SUMMARY

General Description:  Supervises the operation of the McKenzie Terminal parking lot.

DUTIES

Typical:  Supervises the daily operation of the McKenzie Terminal parking lot including supervision of cashiers; ensures all deposits are accomplished in accordance with system policy; develops monthly computer analysis of work load requirements; plans parking employee work schedules; hires, trains and evaluates parking employees; inspects parking lot, lighting, directional signs and surface areas for maintenance and repair; troubleshoots computerized equipment; initiates work orders for repairs of parking lot and related grounds; assures sufficient quantities of parking lot supplies are ordered and stored; develops parking standard operating procedures and ensures their enforcement; answers emergency calls; performs related duties as required.

SUPERVISION

Received:  General instruction and periodic review from Assistant Director of Administration.
Given:  Specific instructions to and frequent review of Cashiers and Student Technicians.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:  High school graduation or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Three years business administration and/or parking services experience including some supervisory experience.
Preferred:  College level coursework in accounting, management or related business courses. One year of parking services management experience. Experience with WPS parking system.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR REGISTRATION

Required:  Valid driver's license. Must be able to obtain State of Texas class "C" vehicle operator's license within 30 days of employment.
Preferred:  None.

EQUIPMENT

Typical:  Use of personal computers.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS

Typical:  Knowledge of personal computers with ability to troubleshoot small mechanical equipment. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Flexibility to work extra hours, weekends and holidays.
