AIRCRAFT SCHEDULING COORDINATOR

SUMMARY
General Description: Coordinates and schedules flights of crews and Texas A&M University System aircraft; performs office duties related to a flight operations department.
DUTIES
Typical: Coordinates available aircraft and crews and plans trips for requesting departments or individuals; checks destination airports for facilities, runway length, navigational facilities, fuel, and passenger accommodations; maintains wait lists for aircraft and checks daily for confirmation or changes to the following day's schedule flights; schedules departure, way-point, and return times; checks accuracy of crew pre-flight and post-flight logs/paperwork; ensures maintenance problems and accumulated flight times for aircraft are recorded; prepares accounts receivable and payable forms, pilot duty roster, and monthly airplane flight logs; maintains budget records and reconciles accounts; prepares payroll documents; serves as secretary to the Chief Pilot; prints flying schedule, revises as necessary, and ensures copies are distributed to the Director of Aviation; performs related duties as required.

Received: General instructions and periodic performance review by the Chief Pilot and the Director of Aviation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: High school graduation or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Three years of related managerial and clerical experience.
Preferred: Two years of college business-related courses. Formal training in travel agency or airline reservation field. Three years travel agency or aircraft/pilot scheduling experience. Two years related business/clerical experience with the Texas A&M University System.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR REGISTRATION
Required: Valid driver's license. Must be able to obtain State of Texas class "C" vehicle operator's license within 30 days of employment.
