SUPERVISORY INTERVIEWER

SUMMARY

General Description:  Supervises the daily data collection of project interviewers.

DUTIES

Typical:  Supervises, trains and schedules interviewers, schedules and conducts telephone interviews; converts previous refusals; monitors interviews and appointment calling; assures quality control; supervises clerical functions; tracks status of participants and interviewers; addresses confidentiality issues with participants; meets with supervisor for weekly updates; performs related duties as required.

SUPERVISION

Received:  General instruction and periodic review from administrative supervisor.
Given:  Detailed instruction and periodic review of interviewers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, social science or public relations or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Some supervisory experience.
Preferred:  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, social science or public relations. Telephone interviewing experience in a supervisory capacity.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR REGISTRATION

Required:  None.
Preferred:  None.

EQUIPMENT

Typical:  Familiarity with personal computers.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS

Typical:  Working knowledge of spreadsheet and database software.
