PLACEMENT SCHEDULING COORDINATOR

SUMMARY

General Description:  Coordinates the on-campus recruiting program for the Career Center at Texas A&M University.

DUTIES

Typical:  Communicates with employers to establish or change recruiting schedules; maintains recruitment calendar; reserves interview rooms in the Career Center and other locations; prepares and maintains forms related to the recruitment process; monitors schedules and ensures that all appropriate forms and documents have been completed by the deadline; meets and greets potential employers upon arrival; advises employers on the recruiting process at Texas A&M University; represents the Career Center at events such as breakfasts and luncheons, Advisory Council meetings, and other meetings as required; establishes the annual recruiting calendar including determining deadlines; prepares reports and runs queries related to student resumes, interview schedules, and company presentations; coordinates with the Career Center library in providing company information and applications to students; assists in the update and revision of employer schedule packets, forms and letters used in the recruiting process; performs related duties as required.

SUPERVISION

Received:  General supervision and periodic review from administrative supervisor.
Given:  General supervision and frequent review of office staff or other clerical workers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:  High school graduation or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Five years in progressively responsible positions including some supervisory experience.
Preferred:  Bachelor's degree. One year experience serving in a scheduling capacity or in a position with heavy emphasis on customer relations.
