Texas A&M University Classified Personnel Pay Plan


FOREWORD

The Texas A&M University Classified Personnel Pay Plan is administered by the Human Resources Classification & Compensation Office and used by the following Texas A&M University System components headquartered in the Bryan/College Station area:

Texas A&M University

Texas A&M University System Health Science Center

Texas AgriLife Research

Texas AgriLife Extension Service

Texas Engineering Experiment Station

Texas Engineering Extension Service

Texas Forest Service

Texas Transportation Institute

Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory

Each classification has an assigned salary range with an established minimum rate. Classifications are designated as nonexempt (N) or exempt under the Executive (E), Administrative (A), or Professional (P) categories of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) . The Pay Plan contains titles, title codes, salary ranges, and the FLSA exemption status for over five hundred classifications. For easy reference, titles are listed alphabetically in Table I and by job family in Table IV. Salary rate schedules are provided in Table II (bi-weekly) and Table III (monthly). Generic classification specifications listing typical duties and minimum qualifications are maintained for each individual title and are available online.
