Random Alcohol and Drug Testing Program
EAP provides the Random Alcohol and Drug Testing Program.
In 1991 the Department of Transportation passed a law requiring
that employees holding certain positions undergo random alcohol and drug
testing. The law requires random testing for those employees holding a
commercial drivers license who drive:
-
a vehicle with a gross weight of 26,001 or more pounds
-
a vehicle designed to carry 16 or more passengers including the driver
-
any vehicle transporting any amount of a placarded hazardous material
To find out more about this law, call the EAP office at 845-3711 or
email.
The Department of Transportation law requiring Random Alcohol and Drug Testing
is administered through the office of EAP.
