There are also special “perks” to being a TAMU employee or retiree. Whether you’re getting to work, buying a home or spending a night out with your family, your TAMU Faculty/Staff/Retiree ID is your ticket. With a TAMU ID, employees may take advantage of the many university museums, library systems and services on campus for free or at a discounted rate. For example, MSC OPAS offers faculty and staff a 10% discount off regular priced single tickets to all Main Stage events.
Many local businesses also give special offers and discounts to Texas A&M employees. How can you know if a business offers such discounts? Just ask! Identify yourself as a TAMU employee or retiree when making a purchase by showing your ID Card. If you are shopping, dining or making hotel reservations, feel free to ask, "Do you offer discounts to TAMU employees/retirees?" Some discounts may require membership cards, order forms, or other information, but, it never hurts to ask.
