Principles of Supervision and Management (PSM) Program

This certificate program focuses on how the behavior of managers and supervisors is impacted by laws, policies, regulations, rules and procedures.

This program is designed for supervisory and management personnel. However, any TAMU employee interested in learning more about the interaction of laws and policy with management practices may enroll in the program.

How do I enroll in the Principles of Supervision and Management Program (PSM)?
You can enroll in the PSM by completing the PSM Online Orientation and submitting the required information to the Center for Employee Education. Viewing the Online Orientation DOES NOT obligate you to enroll in the program. View PSM Online Orientation Workshop

  3. Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) & Timekeeping
  4. Position Descriptions & Hiring Procedures
  5. Leave Policies and Procedures
  6. Performance Development Process
  7. Preventing Sexual Harassment (Supervisory Overview)
  8. Progressive Discipline
  9. Workers' Compensation Procedures
  10. Capstone Course for PSM

How do I complete the PSM?
Once you have completed all the required courses in the PSM, you should submit the PSM Verification Form to the Center for Employee Education and we will register you for the PSM Capstone. The PSM Verification Form provides instructions on how to submit the needed information.
