Employer Responsibilities under The Family and Medical Leave Act

  • Employees must be provided written notice when leave taken for a qualifying condition will be documented as FMLA leave
  • TAMU is responsible for documenting FMLA leave appropriately, regardless of whether or not the employee requested such leave under the FMLA
  • TAMU should provide FMLA information to employees; get a poster to place in your break room or other prominent work location
