Commuting Aggie Listserv
The Commuting Aggie Listserv is provided by Texas A&M to assist Commuting Aggies in connecting with each other for potential carpool, route and information sharing opportunities.
Individuals using the listserv should review the Considerations for Carpooling, as well as be responsible in confirming identity and addressing other potential security matters prior to exchanging personal information or arranging carpooling. In providing the listserv, the university is not responsible for individual actions taken by those participating in the listserv.
To subscribe to the listserv, send an email to listserv@listserv.tamu.edu, and in the BODY put: SUBSCRIBE tamucommuter firstname lastname. To unsubscribe, send a message to listserv@listserv.tamu.edu, and in the BODY put UNSUB tamucommuter.
Ride Sharing Service
Transportation Services provides a Ride Sharing Service that connects Aggie Drivers and riders who need to travel near or far. This service is free to students, faculty and staff and is easily accessible by visiting the Transportation Services website.
For assistance in creating an account and participating in the Ride Sharing Service program, you may call, email or visit the Customer Assistance Center in Koldus 108 at 979-862-PARK or parking@tamu.edu.
On-Campus Housing for Commuting Faculty, Staff and Students
- The University Center provides accommodations at the Memorial Student Center (Hotel Rooms) to university employees and students who commute from outside the Bryan/College Station area. Commuters must identify themselves as a commuter when making reservations in order to receive the commuter plan benefit. All rooms are subject to availability. View room rates. - The Department of Residence Life provides accommodations at the University Apartments to guests sponsored by TAMU on a daily or monthly basis. Commuting faculty, staff or students are eligible for use of these housing accommodations.
Temporary Housing for Visiting International Faculty and Scholars
Faculty and professional visitors to Texas A&M who plan to stay in College Station for one week to nine months can lease an apartment through the International Housing Program, sponsored by the International Programs Office.
The International Programs Office at Texas A&M University works with a local apartment complex to offer short-term leases to international visitors. A lease must be signed by the international visitor.
